Teacher feedback

Hello group 10
I love your blog (it's Rebecca here, by the way).  The quirky pictures have grown on me and I really  like the tone of the blog (the blog's voice?).  I look forward to reading what you write and a lot of what you write makes me smile.

Anyway, here's to more specific feedback for Steven and Maria (sorry Ella and Ellie - you can get your feedback from Dan directly in class as he's marking your blogs):

Steven:  firstly I'm sorry that the technician's didn't answer the phone when you rang last year.  One of the ways that we are trying to get around this is by setting up the twitter feed - when you are out filming during lesson time I will be on the end of twitter throughout the lesson.  We've also bought a new mobile phone that works (hurrah!) and so you will get a new number for a phone that will be answered this time.  Anyway, I really really like the way you are approaching your blogging - your voice comes through and I can sense a real engagement with what you are being asked to do.  I hope that you won't find the checklist too restrictive - please do blog off task/at tangents as it makes for interesting reading.  Your reflection on your own progress is excellent and the advice I would give you is something that you've already identified - to plan what you are writing before you write it.  Your integration of ICT is good (could be even better but I'll leave that up to you to think about as it's not something that will lose you marks at this point) and the level of detail and analysis in your research is very good indeed.  I hope that you will enjoy the blogging this year.  Keep up the great work.

Maria: your blog is looking very good indeed too - the level of detail in your research around theory is excellent, and the accounts of the research into costume, props, location and synergy is also very strong indeed.  As I said above, the 'voice' (can't think of another way of describing it) is a real strength too - I enjoy reading what you are writing about and I do like your most recent reflection on your progress (and for what it's worth I would give everyone in your group more than 14/20 at the moment).  I think your focus for your next blogs should be about integrating ICT in different ways (you mention yourself that you feel that you've used too many gifs, for example).  I would also suggest that you go off-piste a bit more with the blogs - don't be restricted by what we've asked you to do.

Well done - keep up the excellent work.
Rebecca
