Musical Influences - Pop Practical

The Jewelers have a very distinct sound, in the way in which they sound exactly like The Arctic Monkeys, but WAIT. There's a catch, we also follow on from some of the styles of some of our favorite bands.

Arctic Monkeys

The first of these, clearly, is The Arctic Monkeys whose style we will be following, since it is their cover of Diamond Are Forever that our music video is based upon. Many of their traits can be found in our band's sound, and also instrumentation, especially in the guitars, although the performers do not necessarily play in the same way.

Franz Ferdinand

Another band who was a great influence on The Jewelers is Franz Ferdinand in their approach to song writing. They write about similar subjects, without taking themselves too seriously, and like Franz Ferdinand, at some point The Jewelers will probably stop being popular and their music will probably take a little dip in quality, although still being very good, it won't be a 10th as popular as the debut able 'Sparkle Sparkle' was.

Radiohead

Our final primary influence is definitely Radiohead, since we are very hipster friendly and also tend to focus on the actual music, not necessarily sticking to one sound, but always having a great sense of familiarity to our music. We are also interested in changing the way people listen to music, aiming to not only perform new music, but also unique music that will constantly be fresh in our fans' heads. Also the lead singers of both bands look incredibly weird. Go figure.
