I've done some extra research into what it's like filming other music videos professionally and non-professionally.
Firstly I looked at Hedley and saw the amount of equipment they had, which we didn't have, also the amount of props and locations, even extras in their video. This is very different to our video and what we've been doing.
i also noticed how in the shooting the lighting is a lot brighter then in the video where they've obviously edited the tones. We've done the opposite and started with really dark places using light to make it brighter in the footage. Now I'm seeing how that may be problematic if we want to make it brighter because it wont work.
The non-professional shoot I looked at is from NigaHiga who does youtube videos online. In his shoots i saw that they used the natural lighting outside and didn't edit it, they used reflectors to make it even brighter during the actual shoot and not in editing. I also saw how many extras they also had to make the video more lively, which i've noticed in others too. This is interesting and makes me wonder if we should have added extras into our video.
