Beginning Editing

So today in college during our 3 hour gap, me and Ellie began the task of editing our music video. Obviously we didn't want to start properly or making any big creative decisions without Steven and Ella so it was mainly laying the groundwork and reviewing the footage. We started off by moving all our clips from our memory card to our video hard drive as well as downloading the song and converting it to an AIF file. We then meticulously began the task of matching up all the base tracks with the song exactly. This took a while but we managed to get all of them lined up in the correct position on the timeline on Final Cut Pro. Our video features a narrative so that will probably involve a style of editing we used on our thrillers last year to tell the story rather than with base tracks.
