Using Photoshop

Here's a screenshot of me using Photoshop to create the inside panels of my digipak:


As you can see from the layers, I create the effect I am going for by starting out with an original picture to base the design around and then cover it up with just one colour to represent each area of the photo (e.g. skin, glasses lens, glasses frame). For example, you can see in this screenshot that I was using the eyedropper tool on the picture of Steven on the left to get the same red colour I'd been using throughout for the red streak in his hair. You can see on the right that I've applied rough outlines of his skin and the white part of his hair and left an area for the red part which I then applied next. Great times using Photoshop.
